Obama Has His Work Cut Out for Him
(11/6/2008)
Summary: Barack Obama has been elected the 42nd President of the United States during one of the worst financial crises this country has ever seen. With that, his "to-do" list for the economy is huge. Obama pledged to aid homeowners - he will have to reform the system in which potential homeowners take out mortgages. He also pledged to reform the financial system - how much regulation will he impose on Wall Street? The bailout plan has changed courses a bunch of times - will he make moves to change courses again, or will he stay on the same path? It is these questions that will determine Obama's legitimacy as a leader of the United States. Of course, the first step will be to put the right people in place - Obama must choose a new Treasury Secretary to help lead the way. |
